KDL is looking for enthusiastic library volunteers for the summer at the Plainfield Branch of Kent District Library! This program is open to teens entering 6th – 12th grade in the fall. Volunteer applications are due back to the Plainfield Branch by Friday, May 17. Applications are available in the school library and can be printed out from the KDL website at: https://www.kdl.org/
Current seventh graders who are interested in running for an officer position must read the description of duties. After reading the duties, if you are still interested, complete the officer application form. This is due to Mrs. Vogel by April 29th. You may find the officer application and duties on the blog, on Remind, or stop by Mrs. Vogel's room. Interviews will take place the first week of May.
Our sixth graders are awaiting their next step in their educational journey. They are excited to become part of Crossroads. To help them get acquainted, they will tour on May 21 and May 22. Each spring the Board of Education invites members of the NJHS at Crossroads to participate in the Adopt-A-Highway clean-up along Plainfield Ave. The date selected for this year is Saturday, April 20 from 10 am - 12 pm. The group will meet at 10 am at Frontline Community Church.

We have rescheduled our West Fest school carnival event to Thursday, April 25th from 5:30-8:00 (HOPEFULLY we will not have to worry about snow days in April!) and are looking for volunteers for 2 sessions of games/activities and face painting/tattoos.

Do you have a steady hand and an eye for detail? Mrs. Burgess is looking for some volunteers to work in the library after school on Mondays and Wednesdays reshelving books and processing new books to put into circulation. Hours would be from 2:30 to 4:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays in the IMC. A late bus is available at 4:00 for students who live in the district.

Join the staff of Fountain Hill Center as they host their Holiday Open House on December 6. Mrs. Menhart will pick up volunteers at Crossroads at 3:00 pm. She will provide a healthy snack/light meal. After the open house, she will drop off volunteers back to school by 8:00 pm. We are looking for four-five volunteers who would like to help this non-profit organization.
