The Lion King in Chicago

Our fall celebration is a big one.  Do you enjoy theater and travel? You are invited to go to Chicago to see The Lion King at the Cadillac Theater.  We will take a charter bus.  Feel free to pack snacks and lunch.  However, no peanut products. You will have time to shop and lunch at the Water Tower Place.  After a couple of hours of shopping, we will depart for the theater.  To cap off the the trip, we eat dinner at Connie’s Pizza before hitting the road back home.   

 

The price of the trip is $235.00 and due October 17th.  The price includes: the transportation, theater ticket, and dinner. Make checks payable to Northview Crossroads Middle School.  If you are unable to make this work, we will have other celebrations.

 

8:30am – Depart from school for Chicago (3 hr-7 Min)

10:30am (Chicago time)  Arrive at Water Tower Place - set your watch for Chicago time

 1:15pm- Depart for theater

 1:30pm – Arrive at  Cadillac Theater

 4:30pm – Depart for dinner

 5:15pm – Dinner at Connie’s Pizza

 6:30pm – Depart for home (Leave whenever dinner is done.)

 10:30pm (our time) - Approximate arrival home (Could be earlier depending on dinner.)

Humane Society Tales to Tails

 


Make a Difference in the Lives of Homeless Animals

Are you someone who enjoys animals?  Find a good book and head to the Humane Society of West Michigan.  Give your time and talent through the "Tales for Tails" program.  Bring a minimum $5.00 donation per reader.  Register with Amy, the Program Coordinator.  at aheddy@hswesmi.org

Hello KFB Volunteers!

Brown Bag Decorating Month is in full swing here at Kids' Food Basket and our staff has had a friendly decorating competition taking place all week. With a goal of 200,000 decorated bags, we need your help! For more information on how you can help, please visit kidsfoodbasket.org/events/brown-bag-decorating-day/. Also, on Tuesday, September 27, we will be hosting a Brown Bag Decorating Pop-Up Event here at the Kent County location. NJHS Tidbits and Important Dates

 

National Junior Honor Society

 Please see the previous blog post.  It contains the monthly mandatory meeting dates.  Members must attend to be in good standing.  If you know you are out ill, please email me.  

All members must earn service hours.  Members need a minimum of 6 group hours and a minimum of 6 individual hours.  Service hour forms are due to the advisor by May 22.  All forms must have a signature.

2022-2023 NJHS Dates

 

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year.  We are excited to meet all of you.  This year promises to be one of the best.  The NJHS Induction Ceremony will take place Thursday, October 6th at the PAC at 7:00 pm. 

Please put in your calendars the mandatory monthly meeting dates. Our monthly meetings will start at 7:00 am in Mrs. Vogel's classroom, 203.
