The Love Project: Spreading The Love
February 7, 2020

SAVE THE DATE! The Northview Art Department, Athletic Department, and Community Education are partnering to invite the community to spread the love and partake in a fundraising benefit for the Dave Witucki Memorial Scholarship. On February 7, 2020, the Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball games will be dedicated to the memory of our compassionate, late colleague and friend, Mr. Dave Witucki who passed away unexpectedly last March. Mr. Witucki played many important roles in the district and Athletic Department, where he managed the scoreboard at every high school basketball game.

In honor of his memory, we will offer several fundraising activities before, during and after the games to benefit this scholarship. One of the activities is a painting party that will be held from 6:00–9:00 pm in the athletic lobby. All ages are welcome. Admission is a suggested donation of $20 in advance (registration form found at nvps.net/community/adultenrichment) or $25 at the door and will include a canvas painting that you create and take home at the end of the game. The suggested donation for a family is $60. Please see the registration form for details. Don’t like to paint? No worries! ‘Women Up,’ the National Arts Honor Society (NAHS), the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and the Northview High School Athletic Department will offer side-by-side optional activities so everyone can get involved. Please join us for this fun, a community project where you’ll enjoy good company while participating in a great cause.

Mark your calendars.  Random Acts of Kindness is celebrated nationally on  February 17th. The National Junior Honor Society is selling kindness shirts in an effort to fundraise to support Make A Wish.  We are partnering with Northeast Print House who is giving back a percentage of each shirt sold.  Please consider helping us by either purchasing a shirt and/or sharing the link with your friends and family.
