Honor Society Group Service Project at RMH!

Parents and NJHS Members: NJHS will be participating in the Ronald McDonald House Crazy Cookie Program! (Thank you Justin and Mrs. Kneeshaw for arranging this.) Also, thanks to our parent supervisors for volunteering!
We are now ready for students to sign up for a Saturday baking group. (Sorry, at this time signups are limited to NJHS members only due to RMH guidelines. If we don't get enough members we will open slots for additional family.

Once Saturday groups are full we will get organized during Advisory time so that everyone has a ride to and from RMH and knows which baking ingredients they are responsible for.
Don't miss out on this fun and worthwhile NJHS opportunity to help brighten the day for families struggling with illness.

A Day of Service for Mrs. Slot

The sun shone, the river sparkled, the many hands made light work of cleanup along the river by the Grand Rapids Rowing Club boathouse. Among the trash and treasures we gathered: a handful of golf balls, an old shoe, a broken cooler, and lots of snack wrappers. Ironically, Jenna L. found a plastic bag from last year's river clean up- oops!
As we gathered together after our time tromping through the brush at river's edge, we took a moment to dedicate our morning of service to our friend and teacher Kim Slot. She will be missed by all.

Sign Up! Show Up! Stand Out! Help Out!

Here are a couple of fun service opportunities to help fulfill your GROUP service obligation:

1. Make a difference! Give 3 minutes a day to help someone out! Be an office assistant. Deliver lunch messages at the beginning of your lunch, every day, stop by the office to pick up messages to deliver to Mr. Duba or Mrs. Grinwis in the cafeteria. Reliability is a must for this important position.

2. Provide Childcare! Help East Oakview PTC! They need 5-6 childcare providers for their evening meetings. Dinner is provided! Sign up as a group, if you like! Have fun with your friends and play with the kids. Enjoying small children is a must for this service opportunity.
